THINKING OF JOINING SECRET HARBOUR SLSC?

The club and Bar is open Every Friday Night from around 6pm and maybe a little earlier during the summer when our nippers and cadets are training on the beach.

This is a family time, we will often crank up the BBQ and have the big screen on for football or other programs. We have a smaller room for the children if they want to play with toys or watch a DVD.

The club day is Sundays from 8am - about midday during October to March. All the juniors are on the beach doing their beach activities following the club meeting at around 9am. Ages range from Dolphins 5-7, Nippers from 7-13, Cadets from 14-19 and Open 19-30 and the "oldies" Masters 30+

We will have a club swim and run and other activities usually on most Sundays from 10am

Our club relies on fundraising and sponsorship and of course Memberships to keep us viable. All of this goes towards keeping our equipment updated and making sure we keep ourselves up to date with surf awareness and education.

There are many categories of membership which include:

Social, Family, Active, Cadets, Long Service.

Most members who wish to participate but not necessarily be lifesavers come under the social membership.

Sometimes the children want to do the Nipper or Dolphin Activities and Mum and Dad want to watch. This is the Family membership. We encourage mum and dad to help out though where we can, and sometimes they get the bug and join in!

Our life savers who have their Bronze medallion or Surf Rescue Certificate do the patrols on the beach and come under the Active and Cadet membership.

Anyone can train to get their Surf Rescue Certificate over age 13 and the Bronze Medallion over 15. This may suit you and it is a great achievement and certainly a way to get fit and understand the surf and to keep you and your family safe.
